Morning Sickness: Now Served All Day
Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 12:01PM I know that every person and pregnancy is different, but morning sickness is not just for mornings. Calling it morning sickness is a misnomer; it should be called "Starts in the morning but continues for a couple of weeks sickness." And if that wasn't enough, good luck finding something to help with the nausea. A quick Google search brings back a variety of links to home remedies and old wives tales. The only consistent piece of advice is to eat something before actually getting out of bed. Only time will tell how that one goes.
I can't help but imagine a group of OB/GYNs brainstorming names for the phenomenon when someone throws out the name Morning Sickness. Once the laughter has subsided, they decide to stick with it so they will have a constant source of amusement as they go about their day seeing expecting mothers.
Surely this is the way it must have happened...
